I’m still a firm believer that print campaigns do work – in some cases. I’ve never believed in the real estate postcards that had recipes, motivational quotes, or the “prospecting” ones either. I do believe in the Just Listed/Sold, holiday, and seasonal postcards.

I recently had a client that took my advice and sent out 100 Just Sold postcards to the homes surrounding the sale. What did he get from that? He got 1 listing and 2 future clients that are still in the planning process of selling and buying a new home. All it took was 100 cards and he has a guaranteed (pending sale of course) return on investment of over 8,000% based on a full-price contract and a 3% commission. If those 2 other contacts end up selling their houses with him as well he could easily have up to 40,000% ROI or more. Imagine what could have happened if he had mailed to 200? 500? 1,000?

My question is do you send out postcards?
If not, why?
If yes, what type(s), to whom, how many, and how frequently?
